The HCST Edgeguard server can be installed in your network in either routed or bridged configurations.

The routed configuration acts as a dedicated server performing the full routing and firewall services of high-end firewalls such as the Cisco ASA,  SonicWALL, or Baracuda as well as providing all the additional features outlined above.

In the bridged configuration, the HCST Edgeguard server drops seamlessly behind existing firewalls and routers, but is still able to provide all the additional features not provided by your existing firewall or router.
