Web Developer: joomla / php / perl
HCST is seeking a part-time / contract individual to support web development activities using the Joomla! Content Management System and php and perl programming languages.
HCST has celebrated 20 successful years providing outsourced IT services to small and medium sized businesses in the Dayton and Springfield areas. Services provided to clients include acquisition, configuration, installation and long-term support of workstations, servers, network, Internet, and VOIP phone systems -- basically, a full-suite of IT services.
Position Description
HCST is looking for a candidate to perform development and maintenance activities on active commerce-oriented websites based on the Joomla CMS. A major project is the conversion of a site currently developed in the perl programming language into the Joomla framework using php.
This candidate will need to understand development of modules and components for Joomla using php, and be able to understand the perl language sufficiently to translate to php.
Ability to create and maintain wordpress sites, and other HTML / basic graphical capbilities will be useful as well.
This is a temporary position, with possibilities of becoming permanent on a part-time / consulting basis. Initial projects will entail near-dedicated time.
